About Bricks-n-Stones
A Legacy Crafted in Concrete
At Bricks-n-Stones, we don’t just overlay concrete, we build legacies.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2000 when our founder, Keith Griffith, set out with a simple mission: to provide Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and the surrounding communities with unmatched craftsmanship and reliable service. We started by offering premium decorative concrete overlays, transforming ordinary surfaces into works of art. As our reputation grew, so did our expertise. We soon expanded our business to include sleek polished concrete and custom concrete countertops.
Today, we are proud to stand as the longest-running decorative concrete business in Southern Illinois.
Passing the Trowel: A True Family Business
From the very beginning, Bricks-n-Stones has been a family affair. In 2015, Keith’s stepson, Cody Halleran, joined the crew, learning the trade from the ground up and mastering the meticulous skills required to keep our standards sky-high.
After a decade of dedicated hard work, mentorship, and shared vision, Cody officially bought the family business in 2025.
The tradition doesn’t stop there. The third generation is already hard at work; Cody’s son, Beau, has joined his father on the job site, learning the family craft with the ultimate goal of one day taking the reins of Bricks-n-Stones.

We believe that a business is only as strong as its foundation. For over two decades, our growth has been fueled by a steadfast commitment to the values that matter most to our family and our clients.
